Noosa National Park could have been a coastal drive with housing development. If it wasn’t for the foresight of an active group of people 50 years ago who stopped the development of the road and houses. It is one of the last remaining coastal walks in Southeast Queensland, that is protected.

Early risers are bush turkeys, koalas, joggers, walkers, and the brave paddle boarders, out in the South Pacific Ocean, balancing in amongst the waves.

The coastal walk takes you past secluded beaches, called Little Cove, Tea Tree Bay, Picnic Bay and Hells Gate, which got it’s name because of the layers of sandstone which just fell away into the ocean creating a dangerous drop down into “hells gate”.

Afternoons on the main beach, in front of a string of cafes and restaurants, serving everything from Cacao smoothies to a cold schooner at the surf club, you can watch the surf schools and surf lifesaver training and know that if you ever needed to be rescued, we are in good hands.

The park benches are dotted with sorbet ice cream eaters and acai seed bowl devotees admiring the view. Sunbakers and swimmers lie flat out soaking up the sun, abandoned books sitting by their side.

In the strip called Noosa Heads, there is something for everyone if you feel like being a tourist for a few days. Being able to tag on 48 hours after a shoot was a bonus and a fresh view while doing business in the time of change.
Wearing the Marina shirt dress, from our next summer collection Ibiza Bohemia. Great for sun protection, roll the sleeves up or down, with or without shoes as you grab your sundowner or with swimmers’ underneath.

Happy Summer vibes are in the air!
