Often, it's the simplest experiences that bring the most joy. After traveling for two years and now heading into my third, I've learned to immerse myself in the local culture rather than just ticking off the top ten attractions. I find great pleasure in settling into a cozy chair at a local café, savoring the morning as the neighborhood comes to life.

Each day starts with a few check-ins at Naudic HQ and India HQ. Once I clear my inbox, I reflect on the previous day—many of my inspirations for upcoming collections stem from my travels. People-watching in various settings helps me understand how locals dress for comfort and ease, which aligns with our brand values. I often create mood boards right on the spot.

After a few productive hours at my laptop, it’s time to explore. Leaving behind the lovely Hotel Zhero, I can turn left or right, both paths leading to charming little beaches—different from the Australian ones, these Mediterranean spots are calm and crystal clear, sheltered by picturesque coves.

Depending on the time of day, a dip in the sea reveals the Spanish way of life. We were fortunate to be away from tourist traps, surrounded by grandmothers enjoying the water with friends, young families playing with colourful toys, and stylish locals, sporting white lace and vibrant swimwear. I love to watch this scene unfold while sipping freshly squeezed orange juice, straight from the island's orange trees.

As the afternoon rolls in, I switch from OJ to Sangria, still featuring slices of oranges and lemons floating in the vibrant drink. A plate of olives, calamari, and jamón on fresh sourdough is the perfect accompaniment. I could easily spend hours here. If the heat becomes too much, I join others in the refreshing sea.

For those feeling adventurous, afternoons can be spent playing tennis or riding mopeds, which we happily did—our most exercise yet! Island life has a unique vibe, and Palma is buzzing with energy. Friends have told us about the 29 new restaurants they discovered last season, and the culinary scene continues to grow. Yet, it's easy to escape the hustle and bustle and find quieter spots to unwind.

An added bonus of our stay was the Olympics playing in the background, providing a fun way to tune in and out while indulging in delicious paella.

This was my first visit to Mallorca, which feels surprising given my love for island life. A friend advised me to book trips well in advance, so I did just that. I packed my Naudic pieces in my carry-on, wearing each one during my stay and on TVSN before passing them on to a dear friend who took such good care of us. I didn’t have to make a single decision this week—what a wonderful break!

Hasta pronto Mallorca! You are a warm and welcoming place, much like your people.
